State and Local Government
Government clients have unique and special needs.
There are rules, regulations and constraints applicable to public sector
clients that simply do not apply to the private sector. Representing
governmental clients requires a keen awareness of the legal implications
of not only governmental decisions but also the manner in which
decisions are made. That awareness also extends to the protections
available to government clients and their employees—protections such as
immunity and damage caps. Bishop Colvin is engaged in providing advice,
counsel and support to our government clients everyday and have
experience dealing with local boards of education, city governments, the
State of Alabama, universities, utility boards, planning commissions,
and related bodies and groups.
